Last weekend I treated myself to something I've been wanting to do since coming to London, that's to take a ride on the London Eye. Though eye-wateringly expensive (this is the UK, after all!) it does provide a really great view in every direction of the endless sprawl of greater London. The weather was nice and sunny although more than a bit hazy. In summation; highly recommended.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Budapest, Hungary. The weather was comparable to Melbourne in Spring, very erratic albeit a lot cooler too. I found it to be a very beautiful city, certainly one of the nicest I've been to in Europe. I'm really drawn to the feel of the Eastern European cities with their new Western influences contrasted with Soviet-era Trolley Buses and terrific architecture.
