So I'm now back at my home away from home; Oliva in Spain. I had a great week in the Greek Isles, Santorini is one of the most naturally beautiful places I've ever been to and we had a great time there. The main town, Fira, is set at the top of a steep cliff overlooking the ocean on both sides. We took a boat cruise to the centre of the volcano which created the nearby islands, and then went swimming in some hot (warm) springs. I was pretty glad to get out of Athens on the way back, I was almost pickpocketed twice on the train in the space of 10 minutes! My plan is to take it easy for a few days here and then fly upto Paris mid-week.

Most of these photos are from Athens and there's a few from the ferry trip. We only had a day in the Greek capital and the main attraction we saw was the Acropolis; it's a bit disappointing as it looks nothing like the postcards because it's covered in scaffolding and so on. Athens is not the prettiest city and I probably wouldn't bother going back again unless it was en route to somewhere else, like the Greeks Isles.
